(partner) was admitted to the bar in 2013 and is being appointed as insolvency administrator since 2017. He is a partner of the Schmidt-Jortzig Petersen Penzlin Insolvenzverwaltung Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB since 2019. He focuses on managing insolvency proceedings. He also provides counsel to clients in all matters related to insolvency and corporate law. After graduating from the University of Hamburg, Mr. Marwedel first worked for Lovells LLP as a research assistant in the commercial real estate practice. From 2007 until 2011, he was a graduate assistant at the University of Hamburg Law School, studying the law of civil proceedings and insolvency law with Prof. Dr. Bork. For his lecture on „Recent Court Decisions“, Mr. Marwedel was awarded with the Teaching Award of the City of Hamburg in 2010. During his legal training (Rechtsreferendariat), Mr. Marwedel focused on inter-related areas of corporate and restructuring law, working with the District Court of Hamburg (Insolvency Court), in Commerzbank AG’s Group Legal (Ship Finance) and with SJPP. Mr. Marwedel is a German native speaker and fluent in English.
